Incendiary SC Launch Event
2:00 PM - 11:59 PM | Greenville, SC
Friday, September 1, 2023
Join us on Friday, September 1st as we welcome Incendiary Brewing into South Carolina. Hailing from Winston-Salem, these NC powerhouses have been killing the beer game with their insane Stouts, IPAs, Lagers, and more. We’ll have tons of specialty draft and cans available but as always, the beer will go quickly. Savannah from Incendiary will also be in the house answering any and all questions about Incendiary Brewing. You won’t want to miss this one!
About Incendiary Brewing
Incendiary Brewing Company was founded by Brandon Branscome and John Bacon. Both Brandon and John are local guys raised in Winston-Salem. After graduating from North Forsyth High School, both earned business degrees from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. While attending UNCG in 1997, Brandon and John brewed their first batch of beer; a failed attempt at a brown ale. As college students, having to pour out two cases of beer was heart-breaking. At this early time, the internet was just becoming popular and sadly there was just not a lot of information available about homebrewing. As a result, the idea went dormant.
Over the years, there were several more stints with homebrewing, each more successful than the last. Information was becoming more prevalent, and errors could be researched and problem-solved.
In 2013, the friends found themselves neighbors, and the interest rekindled. The two began regularly brewing on weekends and quickly found success. Beyond satisfying their own interests and those of their friends and neighbors, they began entering homebrew competitions. They immediately found success, some of the accolades include first-place finishes for American IPA, Wood-Aged Beer, and Spiced Beer (the key categories of beers Incendiary Brewing Company was built on). Their most prestigious homebrewing award is first place in the IPA Category of the Masters Championship of Amateur Brewing 2016, a national competition beating out approximately 450 other IPAs. While neither had previous notions about starting a brewery, the success in competition and encouragement of friends and family led them to begin considering the idea.
Labor Day weekend 2018, Incendiary Brewing Company opened its doors. Incendiary made a name for itself quickly for its IPAs, stouts, and their unique outdoor space dubbed, The Coalpit.
In addition to some killer beer offerings, our homie Taco Shack will be here slinging Tamales until they sell out. If you haven’t had a chance to try these handmade specialties then you don’t know what you’re missing out on.
We hope to see everyone on September 1st! As always, stay up to date with everything Whale by checking out our website. Prost!
