Griffon & Sphynx 4th of July Launch

Wayne Wambles, former first employee and brewmaster for Cigar City, recently acquired Upcountry Brewing in Brevard. Wambles plans to keep the UpCountry name and several of its beers on offer. Wambles will also use the brewery to brew and self-distribute his new brand called Griffon & Sphynx, named after his two dogs – Brussels Griffons – and a cat – a Sphynx.

The Whale is excited to launch this new beer on the scene and will have three kegs on tap during July 4th. We will feature his Batch #1 IPA, Irish Red Ale, and a Witbier. Knowing his brewing history, we’re so stoked for you to try them!

Wayne will be hanging out 4-7pm so don’t miss the opportunity to meet the maker!
