Join us for 12 days of tapping fantastic beer and rare bottle drops.

The 12 Whales of Xmas starts Thursday, December 9th! :: Every day leading up until our 4 Year Anniversary, we’ll be releasing different rare and special beers, also known as Whales.:: Here’s what’s on the schedule:

Thursday, December 9th:

Cantillon::Fou Foune (Draft) – This beer is a blend of lambics aged 18 to 20 months as well as Bergeron apricots. :: It’s a very fragrant gourmet beer that perfectly brings across the flavors of the apricots.

We also have a selection of package Cantillon for you to drink here to take home for the holidays.

Friday, December 10th:

We are tapping Planetary Collapse collaboration with Modern Times ,a juice bomb of New England IPA with Mosaic Full Spectrum, Strata, Lemon Drop, Mosaic Incognito, Citra Full Spectrum, and Centennial Hops.

Saturday, December 11th:

You won’t want to miss Jester King’s Fen Tao on tap plus we’re breaking out some Jester King cellar bottles available to-go. :: Fen Tao is a killer barrel-aged wild beer refermented with peaches from the Texas Hill Country.

Sunday, December 12th

On Sunday we’re tapping the American Solera Year 4 Kriek, a Spontaneous Ale aged in Oak tanks with Montmorency & Balaton Cherries.

Monday, December 13th

For their 5th anniversary, Interboro released a Maple Blueberry Stout and that’s exactly what we’re tapping on the 13th. :: It’s like enjoying a stack of blueberry pancakes with a cup of coffee but better because it’s beer.:: You won’t want to miss this one.

Tuesday, December 14th

We brewed a beer with the homies over at Burial Beer! :: You’ll only be able to snag a pour here or there so make sure to join us on Tuesday before it’s gone.

Wednesday, December 15th

450 North Brewing is out of Columbus, Ohio, and is always churning out highly sought-after hazy IPA’s and smoothie sours. :: It’s super rare to see their stuff here in NC but we’ve got a big can drop from them on the 15th.:: These will go fast!

Thursday, December 16th

It isn’t winter in Asheville without a pour of Sierra Nevada’s celebration, but we’ll do you one better on the 16th when we tap a fresh cask.:: Celebration is a holiday IPA with the freshest of the fresh hops.

Friday, December 17th

For the 9th Whale of Christmas, we’re tapping Fantome::Polymath’s Straight West Ghostin’, a Citra hopped farmhouse ale.

Saturday, December 18th

Hill Farmstead is back at The Whale!:: We’re tapping a keg of Edward, an American Pale Ale is dutifully crafted from American malted barley, a plethora of American hops, our ale yeast, and water from Edward’s well.:: It is unfiltered and dry-hopped.

Sunday, December 19th

Fonta Flora is in the house on Sunday as we tap Meemaw, an Appalachian wild ale with Michigan-grown Montmorency and Balaton cherries.:: You also won’t want to miss the Vintage 2017 Brine bottle drop.:: Brine is a super interesting and killer mixed culture Saison brewed with oysters.

Monday, December 20th

Grimm’s Gathering Stone Fruit is a melange of local, peak ripe stone fruits–apricots & nectarines from Bittner Singer Orchards in Appleton, NY, and plums from Mead Orchards in Tivoli, NY. These fruits underwent a carbonic maceration and spontaneous auto fermentation before blending and secondary fermentation in some of our finest barrels of aged sour beer.:: We’re tapping this keg Monday PLUS we’ve got a New Blue Goo bottle drop.

Tuesday, December 21st

For the last Whale of Xmas, we are tapping Finback’s Harambe, a lush Barrel-Aged imperial stout that’ll definitely warm you up.
