THE BEAST IS BACK
Aged for a year in an equal combination of eight-year-old Blanton’s bourbon and 12-year-old Weller wheated Bourbon barrels, Firestone Walker’s Parabola is a whole experience in itself.
Parabola is always a beast of a beer. Intense flavors of black cherry, dark chocolate, vanilla, and roast coffee are accentuated with delicate notes of cereal grain from wheated whiskey barrels. The bourbon barrels impart their classic notes of toasted coconut and cocoa nibs.
We’ll be pouring 2023’s Parabola and other variants on March 30th and will have DJ Camaro in the house.
Variants include: Coconut, Scotch, Parabola 2015, and Napa.
About Firestone Walker:
Born in a humble shed on the back forty of the family vineyard, Firestone Walker is a California beer company like no other. It was founded by two brothers-in-law who simply wanted to make the perfect beer.
The story begins with Adam Firestone (a.k.a. The Bear) and David Walker (a.k.a. The Lion) debating the subject of beer. Their search for a decent local ale proved futile. It wasn’t long before they had goaded themselves into brewing their own.
Their initial brewing efforts were made in a second-hand brewhouse with converted winemaking equipment—mostly with mixed results. But the hook was set when their first recipe for Double Barrel Ale was attempted.
